Being a life-long Jesuit
Throughout my 75 years on the planet, all my travel, and all my research, I quickly learned that God was and is always with me. This is one of the reasons I became a Roman Catholic priest.
I always put the stories of God into context when preforming research and understanding new material I discovered. This helped me be a better person throughout my life, as I thought about much more than just myself. One of the main Ignatian Spirituality terms is AMDG (For the Greater Glory of God). I truly tried my best to adhere to this principal my entire life. In my bestselling book, A Theory of Natural Philosophy, I stated "Regarding the nature of the Divine Creator, my theory is extraordinarily illuminating, and the result from it is a necessity to recognize Him...". This highlights my lifelong commitment to better understanding the world and being a Jesuit.
The other core Igatian Spirituality value I encompassed was Cura Personalis. When translated, this phrase means "care for the whole person." I did this through the many different things I focused on in my life. On top of all my scientific work, I had a passion for Latin poetry, with many references to religion and astronomy. This helped my become a person with more than just one purpose, and I always enjoyed writing the poetry.
