Just about twelve months after we got to the foot of Mt. Sinai, we began our journey to the holy land with a census of the Israelite population. We knew to have faith in God, but after many of the others broke the first two commandments, we question if he will stick to his covenant. Moses says it’ll be fine because he pleaded with God to spare us. Now two days into our adventure, we are feeling positive with our progress. The entire age range of people seem to be keeping up. I’ve been able to meet some fellow Israelites and talk to them about their experience as we pass the time.We follow the cloud of God’s presence. The Levites spearhead the procession, carrying the Ark of the Covenant. The rest of the people are organized into different groups all following God’s holiness.
