Moses addressed us today. In a somber tone, he challenged the younger generation to be different than the older Israelites (which is technically me). He reminded us of the Commandments and the covenant, making sure we kept these in mind as we entered a land of competing religions. He even reminded us of humanity’s story from Genesis, and how we should build our relationship with God more thoughtfully. Most people agreed with this speech. Joshua was then appointed leader, and Moses headed up a mountain. For many of us in the older generation, it was strange to watch him leave. The newer generation didn't relate to Moses as much. The journey is to be continued.
